There is no right or wrong way to grieve. It is a very personal process, one that we will all go through at some point in our lives. Despite anything you may have heard about various “grieving stages,” there really is no set formula to the grieving process. We all grieve differently: men grieve differently from women; adults grieve differently from children; pre-teens grieve differently from adolescents; and the process varies from one individual to the next.
That said, within this section we have provided a list of recommended readings which may help you understand your own grief as well as others. A short list of some of the organizations within the GTA that provide grief counselling is also provided. |
