Disposition Choices

As you prepare to make funeral arrangements for your loved one, you must first decide upon a final disposition preference i.e. in what form will your loved one be laid to rest:

  • will your loved one be cremated, or,
  • is there a preference for full body disposition i.e. casket burial or casket entombment?

The answer to this question will determine the multitude of service, disposition and memorialization options that will be available to you.

Which form of disposition you decide upon is a very personal consideration.  For some, it is driven by religious or cultural influences, for others it may be an environmental preference and then for some others it may simply be a function of what they are comfortable with.  In coming to a decision you should understand what each disposition choice is and the implications they have on your funeral service options, interment rights and memorialization choices.
