Burial or Entombment?

If your preference is for full body disposition there are two directions available to you:
  • Casket burial
  • Casket entombment

Casket Burial

With casket burial the body is placed intact within a casket, lowered into the ground and covered with earth.

There is a wide variety of caskets available to choose from. As well, before being buried the casket may be placed in a protective vault.  To review a sampling of the caskets and vaults we offer, refer to the Product and Services section under Funeral Homes.

Casket Entombment

Entombment of the body involves placing the body intact in a casket which is then in turn placed in an above ground compartment known as a ‘crypt’. Crypts are generally indoors in a larger building called a ‘mausoleum’.  However, crypts can be found outdoors and can be in smaller, private family mausolea.  For more information relating to mausolea offerings refer to the Cemetery section
