Mount Pleasant Cemetery

On March 13, 1876, fifty-year-old Scottish-born Marion Martin, who had died two days earlier, was interred in Plot P, Section 3, Lot 1. Her’s was the very first burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. On October 22, 1891 her remains were removed to the Martin family plot were she now rests.
