Pre-planning Advisor - Permanent Full-time

Location: Elgin Mills Cemetery, Richmond Hill

 

The Successful Candidate will be Required to:

  • Sell products and services to individuals/families on a pre-need basis at their homes or at our locations;
  • Develop and maintain a list of contacts through outbound prospecting, networking and referral follow-up;
  • Maintain records and compile reports according to standard procedures;
  • Perform other sundry tasks as assigned.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • A strong commitment to customer service;
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office;
  • A valid Ontario “G” driver’s license and a well-kept late model car are required (mileage will be paid) as well as a clean driver’s abstract;
  • Flexibility to work at various locations in the Greater Toronto Area is necessary;
  • Working knowledge of the death care industry in a pre-planning role would be considered an asset.

Service Co-ordinator - Permanent Part-time

Location: Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton

 

The Successful Candidate will be Required to:

  • Assist individuals/families in the selection of interment rights, memorials, inscriptions, cremation and all ancillary services;
  • Process documents relating to memorialization and interments for customers  such as interment Rights Certificates, arrangement forms, transfer and exchange documents, grave/cremation/removal orders, memorial/inscription/ ceramic photo orders, endowments, receipts, invoices, time-payment contracts, accounts receivable, bank deposits, service request, etc.;
  • Contribute to property maintenance by watching for problem areas when on the grounds and informing the  Property Management Team;
  • Organize and attend graveside/cremation, interments or entombments services as required;
  • Follow up with customers and employees on arrangements and memorializations;
  • Perform any related sundry activities as assigned.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Friday, Saturday and Monday from 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m.;
  • 22.5 hours with the opportunity for more hours.

 

Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to exceeding customer service expectations;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organization skills;
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to multi-task;
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office;
  • A valid Ontario “G” Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract;
  • Working knowledge of the death care industry would be considered an asset.
