Client Care Advisor - Permanent Full-time

Location: Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa


The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Contact families after receiving MPG services in an effort to receive feedback; be a conduit for information and continue to build trust;
  • Navigate through NAV 2016 to run various reports and cross reference information for accuracy prior to calling customers;
  • Effectively manage customer feedback, inquiries and keep customer satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior;
  • Manage large volume of outgoing calls in a timely and efficient manner as well as manage incoming inquiries;
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify and provide information, investigate concerns and forward on to the appropriate individuals and or management in various departments;
  • Keep detailed records of all conversations in a comprehensible way;
  • Hand-write cards on a daily basis;
  • Achieve personal qualitative and quantitative targets;
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on progress;
  • Have a well-rounded knowledge base of the various facets of the organization;
  • Perform any related sundry activities as assigned.


Days and Hours of Work:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.;
  • Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.;
  • Occasionally additional hours may be required to accommodate business needs;
  • Occasionally work from various locations.



  • Comforting, clear and professional tone when speaking with families;
  • Legible penmanship;
  • A strong commitment to customer service and customer service improvements;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organization skills;
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office;
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to multi-task;
  • A valid Ontario “G” Driver’s Licence and an acceptable Driver’s Abstract;
  • Working knowledge of the death care industry would be considered an asset.

Property Service Employee - Permanent Part-time

Location: Elgin Mills Cemetery, Richmond Hill


The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Operate backhoes, trucks and other equipment;
  • Participate in regular cemetery operations including interments and entombments.


Days and Hours of Work:

  • As per Collective Agreement;
  • Friday, Saturday and Monday.



  • Demonstrated experience in cemetery operations;
  • Gardening, landscape, and/or construction work would be considered an asset;
  • You will possess a valid Ontario “G” driver’s license;
  • Backhoe experience required.
