A NOTE ABOUT COVID-19

Responding with Care

Since Canada recorded its first case of COVID-19 in January, our worlds have changed forever. We continue to face a foe we still know very little about, and it has brought on new challenges and ever-changing landscapes. Yet, in true north spirit, Canadians have committed themselves to doing what it takes to stem the spread of this ugly virus.

Each day, I am amazed by the tireless efforts of those on the frontlines, soldiering on so the rest can maintain some sense of normalcy in their lives. Thank you.

I am also deeply grateful for the essential workers here at Mount Pleasant Group, who care for those who have lost their lives during this time. And for our support services and management teams who ensure procedures operate smoothly. Their dedication to serve is an inspiration.

Being an essential service during the state of emergency means that we have to make adjustments to how we operate. Your safety, and that of our staff is our top priority. As an organization, we fully embrace the importance of ensuring physical distancing in all we do. As a result, we have made some temporary changes in how we serve you based on the recommendations from the government, top health officials and our industry’s Bereavement Authority of Ontario. As protocols change frequently in these times, we recommend that you visit our website for more information on the restrictions currently in place at our locations.
