Alert: Extreme heat and dry grounds at MPG cemeteries

To families and other loved ones visiting our cemeteries who wish to light candles at gravesites, we ask you to join us in considering your safety and the safety of others. 
During the current and extreme heat and high temperatures, there is added risk of fire to dry grounds within our cemeteries. As a reminder, we ask that you kindly ensure that your candle is fully extinguished before you depart from your visit, as even the slightest spark can cause fire to shrubs or grass. We thank you in advance for helping us to keep our cemeteries safe at all times and for everyone.
