William Henry Blenis

William Blenis served in the Royal Canadian Airforce for 12 years, patrolling Canadian and Alaskan coasts for submarines early in World War II. Later, he flew as an air gunner in Europe, Egypt and South Africa. After the War, Blenis was stationed in Manitoba and British Columbia. He retired from the Air force in 1952, returning to Toronto where he worked as an airplane components inspector for a number of companies. In 1984, he retired from Garrett Canada Ltd., where he had been working in the quality control department. 67 Year old William Blenis died on December 15, 1985.
