Alexander F. Webster

Plot Q, Lot 23
Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto

Webster was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He moved to Toronto where, in 1877, he established a shipping agency in a building at the northwest corner of Yonge and King streets. One of the companies his agency represented was White Star Lines whose liner RMS Titanic sank while on its maiden voyage.

At the time of his death, eighty-two-year-old Webster was the oldest shipping agent on the continent.
