Born in London, Ontario, Wilson Totten was principal of three Scarborough High Schools — R. H. King Collegiate, David and Mary Thomson Collegiate and Wexford Collegiate — during his 30-year teaching career. Known as “the quiet scholar,” Totten was respected for his knowledge of mathematics. In the early days of his teaching career, on the weekends he would spend long hours on lighting and set design for school plays. Wilson Totten died on July 24, 1986 at the age of 76.
