Scattered at Sea

Mount Pleasant Group has partnered with Scattered at Sea, a boat charter service providing personalized cremation scattering ceremonies on Lake Ontario.

Departing from the Newport Yacht Club in Stoney Creek, Ont., celebration of life memorials take place in a private, scenic setting on Lake Ontario aboard a spacious and comfortable pontoon boat that accommodates up to nine people.

The journey begins with a 20-minute peaceful cruise along Lake Ontario, providing time for reflection and a chance to take in the serene surroundings. Upon reaching the designated scattering location, the boat will be carefully positioned to create a peaceful setting for the scattering.

After the ceremony, the return journey to the marina will be taken at a gentle pace, offering time for quiet reflection.

Scattering in Lake Ontario is permitted as per the Ontario Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act.
