Inscriptions
Every memorial tells a story. Choosing the right words to inscribe is a deeply personal act and one that captures the essence of a life lived. Whether it’s a meaningful phrase, a beloved quote or a simple expression of love, inscriptions serve as a lasting testament to the deceased.
These special words can be engraved before the memorial is placed. If you need more time, inscriptions can also be added after installation.
Memorialization can also go beyond stone:
- Tree of Life – A symbol of eternal life and strength, the Tree of Life offers a unique way to honour a loved one. A name is inscribed on a beautiful brass leaf and placed on the memorial. Trees of Life are currently located at Pine Hills, York and Elgin Mills Funeral Centres.
Book of Remembrance – A permanent, calligraphed tribute displayed at select cemeteries. You can dedicate an entry for any meaningful date such as a birthday, anniversary or date of passing. Our skilled calligraphers can inscribe poems, personal messages or even heraldic symbols like crests and regimental badges. Books of Remembrance are on display at Toronto Necropolis, Mount Pleasant, Prospect, Elgin Mills, Meadowvale and Thornton cemeteries.
