Section 12, Lot 1126/1127
Prospect Cemetery, Toronto
A labour association formed to represent the interests of the many railway employees in the Junction and elsewhere, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen performed an extremely important role. One of its members was “A Fireman” Thomas Gordon Cummings, apparently born ‘Cuming’ in Greater London, England on August 22, 1886. Affiliated with the Queen City Lodge, he died “of Fever” on October 14, 1910, aged 24.
