“It’s a Gut Feeling”
A brilliant programme illuminating music from North Italy during the Baroque, from Marco Uccellini, through Legrenzi and Venice’s most famous composer Vivaldi. Arparla, a violin and harp duo, hailing from Italy and Ireland are proud owners of a Canadian canoe which they have rowed on the canals of Venice! Davide Monti, noted improviser with his sparing partner on harp, Maria Christina Cleary, joins up with Canadian Elixir Ensemble for a match of musical wit. Maria is dedicated to increasing the harp repertoire by playing organ concertos on the harp. Come and hear music never heard in North America and enjoy a Venetian breeze during the long summer.
Davide Monti - violin, Maria Cleary - arpa doppia, Valerie Gordon - violin, Michelle Odorico - violin, Matt Antal - viola, Elyssa Lefurgey-Smith - violin, Felix Deak- cello, Danial Lalonde- bass
